Office Then and Now

This room has gone through many changes. When we purchased this house it had paneling in this room from floor to ceiling. I disliked it..so when dh left town..I painted it a pretty rose color. Keep in mind..this is HIS office. ROFL!! He was NOT happy when he came home to a rose office. He kept the door shut. He then painted it a color called Bayou Blue..which was a bright turquoise and I had to keep the door shut on THAT!! We then painted it white and we BOTH kept the door shut till we could get back to it. Finally we got to the green with the beadboard and I think it will stay this way. We are too frightened to paint it again. The color in this room is a deep hunter green..NOT BLUE but the paint has a BLUE base color and it always photographs blue instead of the deep green. Wallpaper on back wall to be changed soon. Dimensions of room at its widest point 7 1/2 ft X 11 ft.!!

The above picture was AFTER we painted the paneling for the THIRD TIME!! It stayed this this way until we had time to get back to it for further upgrades. And the "after" Long shot of SMALL space

A Picture of the work in progress.

This wall has pictures of concerts we have attended..the pic on the top of clock (which still needs to be hung) is of Neuschweinstein, the castle of Crazy King Ludwig in the Bavarian Alps. The picture leaning against the wall on the floor is of the Duomo. I bought this from a street artist in Florence Italy.

The top and upper shelves of the armoir. The shelves hold dhs' alidade, his beer stein from Heidelberg, and a few other things he likes.

This wall to the right side of armoir will have pictures that we shoot from different places we visit. It will remain a "work in progress" for now.

and the bookcase opposite the desk
